January 12 (Friday)

Morning flight from Frankfurt/Europe through Helsinki to Kittila. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel in Levi where your adventure will begin. Enjoy a welcome dinner on your first evening in Levi. After dinner, you will experience a special Sami Ceremony in a Kota (Lapish Tepee) with a shaman dressed in traditional Sami costume. You will hear ancient Sami songs (Joiku) and be guided through an interesting ceremony of the indigenous people of Lapland. (D)

January 17 (Friday)

January 18 (Saturday)

After breakfast, we will walk over to Peri Snowmobile Safari. You will get dressed and outfitted for your snowmobile adventure and reindeer safari. You will keep your warm suit for the duration of your tour. Please bring your driver’s license. You will drive or ride your snowmobile to the reindeer farm through beautiful snow-covered forests and over frozen lakes. Before our reindeer sleigh ride, we will take a break and have a cup of coffee or hot chocolate at the farmhouse. You will experience a ride in a reindeer sleigh and see many generations of reindeer, including this year’s babies. There will be many photo opportunities!! (B)

January 19 (Sunday)

After breakfast, we will drive to Rovaniemi on the Arctic Circle. A visit is planned to the Arcticum Museum, where our expert guide will share exhibits illustrating how the indigenous people of the Arctic have adapted to the extreme conditions of this northern region. The video show of the Northern Lights-Aurora Borealis is always a highlight of the visit. Our next visit to Rovaniemi will be to Santa’s Village on the Arctic Circle. You will have the opportunity to meet the real Santa Claus and take your picture with him!! You can mail a letter or postcard from the post office! The cards will be mailed in December and will be a great surprise for young recipients. Late afternoon to Levi. (B)

January 20 (Monday)

After breakfast, we’ll take a short drive to Maria’s Husky Dog Farm for a 10km Husky Safari. You will have the opportunity to observe the dogs and sometimes see the puppies. Enjoy the great adventure of driving your dog sled over a frozen lake into the woods. Experience amazing scenery and, hopefully, the sunrise! Enjoy warm drinks and roast a sausage in Maria’s beautiful wooden Kota. Upon returning to the hotel, your afternoon is free to meet your group at the Ice Bar at the top of the Gondola. Also available is a swimming pool and a spa where you can book treatments. Equipment rental for cross-country, downhill skiing, and snowshoeing is available in Levi village. (B)

January 21 (Tuesday)

After breakfast, we will visit a Finnish Elementary School before our transfer to Kittila for your flight to Helsinki, connecting to your flight to Frankfurt (B)

The return flight on Tuesday January 17, 2023 departs Kittila KTT at approximately 1:30 and connects to in Helsinki for your afternoon flight to Europe.
